Obelisk was founded in 2022 by Khaled Elahbrawy. Khaled worked as Engineer and project manager in various leading roles at Mercedes-Benz for over 18 years and saw the potential of electric cars early on. However, it quickly became evident that the lack of charging infrastructure is a major obstacle to the acceptance of electric cars. That's how the idea for Obelisk was born: We founded a startup that accelerates the switch to electric mobility – by bringing together wallbox owners and e-car drivers.
